Congrats to TDS Stars Karlise and Catherine!

Congrats to our Teen Dance Star (TDS) competitors Karlise Loza and Catherine Pizzinat who made us so proud on January  28 at the Lobero Theatre. Catherine succeeded to the Top 4.  They will perform again as part of the Opening for the singing competition, Teen Star, at the Arlington Theatre on February 25. One of the great things about Teen Dance Star is that Karlise and Catherine’s participation in the finals means that scholarship monies will now be available for Gustafson Dance through the Arts Mentorship Program.

SSBYD Celebration of Dance

The State Street Ballet Young Dancers’ (SSBYD) Celebration of Dance is on Saturday, March 18th at the Lobero Theatre.

The show features our student company with contemporary works by internationally known professional choreographers. “Degas and the Little Dancer” will be performed by the Apprentices, Juniors and some Level 3B’s from the school.

Tickets will be available from any SSBYD dancer very soon, or at the Lobero Box Office. We strongly encourage all of our students in the school to come support the student performing company in their annual repertoire performance.
